You may or may not know this, but we usually spend the majority of our spring/summer on the road with the jewelry biz doing art festivals (this is how Tavvi was born!). Obviously this year has been...different. At first I really enjoyed the break. The travel can be exhausting, there are very few days off, and getting a five year old to be chill in the car comes with its own set of challenges.
Thing is, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that I'm REALLY starting to miss traveling. Like, big time. We have gone camping a few times, and even rented a cabin right outside of town last month. That's been all fine and good, but it's still not scratching that itch.
I have a big birthday coming up in November (I'm coming for you 40!) and had planned on doing a big fun trip somewhere. Covid has definitely adjusted those plans, but I'm not ready to abandon them all together, so I've been trying to do a ton of research on the ins and outs of travel during these bonkers times. I came across this Travel and Leisure video (watch it here) and it was really helpful on what to focus on for travel right now.
I don't know if I will actually go anywhere or not, but if I do, I definitely know I'll be following all of the safety advice. Oh, and I'll definitely have some Tavvis with me. ;)
Good luck out there!
